Whenever a new restaurant opens, my husband and I just have to go. This city is blessed with people who love to make great food — and I guess they’re blessed that we love to eat it!

It doesn’t matter to us if it’s a roadside diner or a four-star restaurant; just give us some delicious food with great service in a wonderful atmosphere, and we’ll be your biggest fans. We’ll even bring friends along with us when we come back.

For a while there, we were afraid we weren’t going to be able to enjoy our city’s many culinary delights for very much longer. My husband has had a hearing loss for some time now. We made do the best we could. If we were going out, we’d ask to sit at a table away from high-traffic areas or larger parties so we could avoid the background noise. Unfortunately, it wasn’t always possible for the staff to accommodate us, especially in the newer and more popular places. Add a few of our friends to the mix, and I could see my husband struggling to stay engaged. Then we discovered AGX Hearing.

A close friend of ours also has a hearing difficulty, but he’s one of the most active people we know. I asked him what his secret was, and he told me his AudigyCertified™ practice had given him the best hearing experience he’d ever had. So my husband and I went — together. Our provider removed the mystery of better hearing, thoroughly assessed my husband’s hearing, and presented him with a multitude of hearing aid options that suit the way we live.

I think I was just as nervous as my husband the first time we went out with a group of friends after he was fit with his hearing aids. But we had the best time bragging about our grandkids and all the other stuff we love to chat about. I think I even talked my husband into taking salsa-dancing lessons! Good food and drink, great conversation — it doesn’t really get any better than that, does it?
